How to donate during the Canada Post strike

How to donate during the Canada Post strike

Due to the Canada Post strike, some of our mailings may be delayed, which could impact the vital funds we rely on during our annual giving campaign. We’ve been sharing stories of hope, to show the impact of our work, and the power of human-to-human connection to help someone through a dark and difficult time.

Distress Centre Calgary is the only 24/7 crisis and emotional support service available throughout the holiday season in the Calgary region. We ensure those experiencing challenging situations are not alone.

Your donation today can make all the difference, ensuring people in need receive support and hope when it matters most this holiday season.

Here is how you can donate if you were planning to donate by mail:

  • You can give securely online
  • Contact us at donate@distresscentre.com and we’ll arrange a time to pick-up the cheque (within Calgary city limits)
  • Drop off a cheque at our office at 999 8 St SW, Suite 500, Calgary, AB. Our reception is open between 9am-12pm and 1-5pm except on weekends and statutory holidays

Let’s not delay hope—together, we can ensure no one will face their challenges alone. Thank you for your support!

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, Distress Centre Calgary would like to honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. Finally, we acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory.
