You Made a Difference: Q1 Impact Report

You Made a Difference: Q1 Impact Report

As we reflect on the first quarter of the year, one thing is clear—none of this would be possible without you.

Thanks to your generosity, dedication, and belief in our mission, we’ve already made meaningful strides in creating lasting change in our community. From providing critical support services to sharing life-changing resources, your support has directly touched the lives of those who need it most.

Here are just a few highlights from Q1:

  • 12,900 crisis contacts supported, including ConnecTeen youth contacts
  • 2,021 individuals supported through our Coordinated Entry Program serving those facing or experiencing houselessness
  • 11,880 contacts assisted through 211, referring them to several helpful community resources and services

These numbers represent real people, real families, and real futures being changed for the better.

We’re inspired by your continued commitment and are truly grateful for the role each of you plays in this journey. Whether you gave your time, your voice, or your financial support—you are a vital part of this progress.

From all of us, thank you for helping us start the year strong. Let’s keep the momentum going!

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, Distress Centre Calgary would like to honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government of the Métis Nation within Alberta Districts 5 and 6. Finally, we acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory.
