For the Month of May, Darkness Into Light (DIL) Calgary is holding a 50/50 raffle fundraiser for Distress Centre! Darkness Into Light is a 5km event and is an opportunity for people to connect with their local community and to show their support for those who have been impacted by suicide. It initiated in Dublin, Ireland in 2009, and their first event took place in Calgary in 2015.

The event took place on May 8th at sunrise. There was no gathering in Prince’s Island Park this year, due to COVID-19, so participants were asked to run, walk or do an activity of their choice in a place of their choosing instead. With restrictions in place, fundraising has been a challenge for DIL Calgary, so they hope you’ll support them and Distress Centre by partaking in this 50/50 raffle!

The winner will receive a minimum cash prize of $1,000 or 50% of ticket sales (whichever is greater) up to a max of $2,500. It closes May 29th.
